real world New Orleans : A Review

Between 1998 and marbles was broadcast on MTV Brazil, MTV reality show The Real (The Real World). A reality show that brought strangers into a house withcameras rolling for recording all of them at home. Ok, speaking so that you can not attend to think it was a life of BBB. Wrong. Unlike the BBB, in the Royal they were trapped in a house without contact with the outside world. In The Real as they not only worked on different issues, some had some mission as helping set up some business or some institution. That is, a reality show that was filmed the day-to-day lives of strangers unknown to each other that they would have – and share the same roof – sharing roles and make a project succeed.

Considering that everyone knows how hard it is a relationship – regardless of the type of relationship – have to imagine the amount of internal conflicts, romances, jealousy and all the rest, no?

Another difference that made in Royal even cooler was that, every season was done in a different city. NY, Miami, Boston, Las Vegas, Paris, San Francisco, Hawaii, etc., etc.. The series has 23 seasons and a further 24 with the name The Real World – Back to New Orleans who is under production. Too bad MTV does not pass over Brazil, if I remember correctly, the latter was dropped in Seattle or Hawaii (and believe me, that was a long time). Besides the reprise of the above.

Participants in the series has an age between 18-25 years and are chosen primarily for their differences: social, sexual, political, religious and all the rest. Purposely tell by the way, the idea was to make the most “real” as possible – so completely unlike other series of the same format that show a “perfect world” or characters not so common way.
