Charlie Sheen pleads guilty to hitting his wife

U.S. actor Charlie Sheen has pleaded guilty in a case of domestic violence but to escape prison through an agreement with the prosecutor’s office, his lawyer said Monday.

Charlie Sheen, 44, had already been sentenced to 30 days in prison after pleading guilty to Aspen for an altercation on Christmas day in the winter sports resort, and during which he allegedly held a knife the throat of his wife Brooke Mueller.

The sentence was eventually turned into 30 days in a detoxification center located in posh Malibu, two steps from his home in California.

But, understands the TMZ specializes in the lives of celebrities like the actor has already spent more than a month earlier this year he will make an appearance there as “seconds”.

Charlie Sheen will also spend 30 days on probation and undergo 36 hours of counseling to learn to manage his aggression.

His lawyer, Yale Galanter, told the press that the star of Platoon and Wall Street would be able to find the set of the television series Two and a Half Men Tuesday. “He is eager to have ended with his conviction and that his period of probation ends,” said the lawyer.

After several breaches of the law in the 1990s for drug cases, domestic violence and prostitution, Charlie Sheen is now one of television’s best actors paid by the series Two and a Half Men and Spin City.

In 1997, the actor had gone to court for assaulting his girlfriend at his home in California. He was also accused of assaulting his ex-wife, actress Denise Richards, former Bond girl.
