Fantasia Barrino suffered drug overdose on Monday (9). Singer won the 2004 edition of the reality show American.

Fantasia Barrino, winner of “American Idol”, was hospitalized on Monday (9) in North Carolina after an overdose of medicine, tells NewsChannel 36′s website, local television from the city of Charlotte. The winner of the 2004 season of American reality show was taken to hospital Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville with an overdose of drugs. According to the site, the singer was not in danger of death. Was not informed the type of drugs ingested by Fantasia, and neither is the overdose was intentional or not.

Also according to NewsChannel 36, the singer was alleged to have been pivotal in a separation. Paula Cook says that Fantasia would have had an affair with her husband, Antwan Cook. The separation process, which was started by Paula on Wednesday (4), included a reference to a video allegedly showing the singer having sex with Antwan.
